Frauds dupe 6 persons of Rs 19 lakh by promising jobs

Raipur, May 30: Six persons were cheated of Rs 19 lakh by frauds on promise of jobs in HSCL, AIIMS and other institutes. FIR in this regard has been registered in Saraswati Nagar Police Station.
According to information available Md Umar Abdul (36), resident of Kota Colony Saraswati Nagar lodged a complaint with police, stating that one Jiv Mangal Tandon (42), resident of Tulsi village in Nawagarh Janjgir Champa duped him of Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand by promising him a job in HSCL on August 10, 2018. Complainant Umar also said that Tandon had also refused to sign agreement that transaction in the name of jobs is a illegal. Subsequently the complainant got him sign an agreement on a letter pad over property deal in presence of four witnesses. After getting swayed by the fraud, the complainant introduced him to his relatives. Later Tandon called Abdul Samad to his house and took money amounting to Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand from him. He later called Md Umar saying that three posts of supervisor are lying vacant in AIIMS.
He then took Rs 4 lakh 50 thousand from Ashok Yadav, resident of Nai Bazaar village falling under Sakldiha in Chandouli district and gave an appointment letter to him on March 1, 2019. The appointment later was later found to be fake. Md Javed, son of Yusuf Ansari too was duped of cash of Rs 1 lakh on promise of job in JRM in Bhilai Steel Plant. He also cheated one Kasif Iqbal, son of Md Ali Jinna of Rs 7 lakh by promising job besides cheating Abdul Vaddu of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand.
This way he took total Rs 19 lakh including Rs 350000 from Md Umar, Rs 150000 from Abdul Samad, Rs 450000 from Ashok Yadav, Rs 100000 from Javed, Rs 700000 and Rs 150000 from Kasif Iqbal. After recording statements of the victims the police have registered offence under Section 420 against the fraud.
