Four juveniles arrested for thefts

Bhilai, Aug 01: With the arrest of four juveniles, Patan police claimed to have solved four cases of thefts within few hours of the crime. The minor boys were committing thefts to meet the expenses.
During the nights of July 30 and 31, they had trespassed into four shops and had committed thefts. Police have seized iron rod, cash and stolen booty from their possession.
Inspector Shivanand Tiwari informed that on the directions of Superintendent of Police (Durg) Prashant Agrawal and supervision of ASP (Rural) Anant Sahu and SDOP (Patan) Akash Rao Girepunje, the team of Patan Police is maintaining vigil on the activities of suspects and criminal record holders. The network of informers has also been activated for the purpose.
On July 31, Patan Police received complaints from Raj Devangan of Azad Chowk Patan, Avinash Mishra of Patan, Kaushal Devangan of Patan and Shakun Bai of Patan filed regarding thefts at their places. The unidentified thieves had broken the shutter locks of the shops and had stolen some items and cash.
FIRs were lodged and investigations were launched immediately. Some suspects were taken in custody and during interrogation, they confessed to have committed the crime. Five juveniles have been booked in connection with these thefts.
The stolen AC remote, massage machine, cash, gutka pouches and other stolen items have been recovered from them. ASI Surendra Taram, Constable Homan Sahu, Kamal Sahu and Rajeshwari played a vital role in arresting the accused.
