Four arrested for committing loot on a moving truck

Bhilai, Sep 27: Police have arrested four ruffians on charges of committing loot on a moving truck. The accused committed the crime near the Hudco Petrol Pump on Utai Road. Police conducted a search operation overnight and managed to nab the accused within 24 hours of the crime. The accused had committed loot earlier too in Durg City Kotwali area.
Addressing media persons here at Police Control Room on Monday, ASP (City) Sanjay Dhruw informed that around 23:00 hrs on September 24, four unidentified ruffians trespassed into the cabin of a moving truck and took the drive on knife point. They looted Rs 2200 cash from the driver and a Samsung mobile phone from the helper.
After receiving a complaint, police launched search operations and collected clues that could lead to the looters. Under the direction of SSP Badri Narayan Meena and supervision of ASP (City) Sanjay Dhruw and CSP (Bhilai Nagar) Rakesh Joshi, the team of Bhilai Nagar Police Station scanned the suspects and criminal record holders. With sustained efforts, police managed to nab four suspects who later confessed to have committed the crime.
The accused were identified as Durgesh Soni (20) son of Shailesh Soni a resident of Shiv Nagar, Bandha Talab, Durg; Sachin Sahu (19) Rajkumaar sahu a resident of Saraswati Nagar, Wambay Awas, Durg; Komal Yadav (24) son of Gocharan Yadav a resident of Bhim Nagar, Bandha Talab, Durg and Kundan Nirmalkar (19) son of Dashru Nirmalkar a resident of Saraswati Nagar, Durg.
Police recovered a knife, motorcycle pulsar (CG07-AN-2266) and Pleasure Scooter (CG07 LU 3950) were recovered from the possession of the accused. SI Rajeev Tiwari, Jalaluddin Khan, Arjun Patel, ASI Gupteshwar Yadav, Head Constable Ruman Sonwani, Constable Gurjeet Singh, Chandan Bhaskar, Anil Gupta and Amit Verma played vital roles in solving the case.
