Five arrested for theft

Bhilai, Jul 21: Police have arrested five ruffians including a juvenile on charges of theft. The accused had stolen an old generator from the premises of a cinema hall.
Inspector Suresh Dhruva (SHO, Chhawani) informed that they had received complaint from the caretaker of Uttam Talkies regarding theft of an old generator machinery parts. The incident occurred on July 13 night. Police lodged a complaint under section 457, 380 of IPC and investigations were launched.
During investigation, police received a tip off after which the suspect Rajesh Bairagi was arrested from Bairagi Mohalla of Chhawani. During interrogation, he confessed to have stolen the generator from Uttam Talkies. He disclosed that Krishna Rajbhar, Rohit Rajput, Manish Sinha and a juvenile had assisted him in committing
the crime.
As the stolen machine was very heavy, they were unable to carry it to long distance and concealed it beneath the bushes near the boundary wall of the talkies. On the basis of the statement, police recovered the stolen generator machine worth Rs 60000.
The accused have been arrested and produced before the court. ASI Sheikh Farukh, Head Constable Chetan Sahu, Constable Nitin Singh, Gunit Nirmalkar, Dhruv Narayan Chandrakar and Pushpendra Tiwari played vital role in arresting the accused.
