First woman police band of the state constituted in Bastar division

Konta, Feb 02: – Women officers and employees in the police and security forces under Bastar division are being given equal opportunities as men in the field of work. Usually, the women police force is given an opportunity in law and order and security of women and investigation of crimes.
Traditionally, only male officers and employees are given opportunities in anti-Naxal operations, police bands, salute guards, etc. But in the past, women commandos are making commendable contribution in anti-Naxal operations under Bastar division. Apart from this, women police force is also being given equal opportunities in police bands, salute guards and other ceremonial works.
It is noteworthy that in the recent days, the Chief Minister, during his stay in Bastar in Chhattisgarh, made a special presentation by the Women Police Band in Jagdalpur, similarly in District Dantewada, the first salute was given by the lady guard on the arrival of the Honorable Chief Minister. The Chief Minister honored the award by appreciating the work of women officers and employees involved in Police Band and Salute Guard.
Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range, Jagdalpur Sunderraj P. told that in every progressive society and organization, women are given due respect and opportunity, similarly women officers / employees in police and security forces deployed in Bastar also work for Better opportunities will be provided.
