Fire at scrap yard of steel factory

Fire broke out at the scrap yard of a steel factory in Hathkhoj Industrial Area on Monday. Fire fighting operations were conducted without delay and the flames were restricted from spreading to neighbouring units. Large quantity of scrap and a truck were destroyed in fire. According to information, fire broke out in the scrap yard of Vineet Steel Industry situated in Hathkhoj. Fire Control Room received information at around 14:30 hrs after which fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Soon the fire fighters brought the fire under control and the flames were doused. Cause of the fire was unknown. Old Bhilai Police registered a case and investigations are on.
