Mukhyamantri Vriksharopan Protsahan Yojna has been launched by the Chhattisgarh government for providing economic benefits along with protecting the environment through plantation of trees in the fields. Provision of incentive amount of Rs 10000 per acre for the next three years has been made to the farmers who have been cultivating paddy and have resorted to planting trees.
There is a provision to exempt the transport of trees planted by farmers from the compulsion of transport permission as per rules. Now the provision of permission to cut the existing trees and planted trees in the private sector will be more simple and easy.
