Health Minister TS Singhdeo told officials in health department to make available all necessary medicines and medical equipment in government hospitals and medical colleges of the state. Chairing a meeting of Chhattisgarh Medical Corporation at his residential office here today Mr Singhdeo said that efforts should be made to provide medical services in government hospitals and medical colleges to the common people.
The meeting was attended by additional chief secretary of medical education department Dr Renu Pille and health and family welfare department secretary Niharika Barik Singh.
Regular supply of medicines to hospitals in accordance with their demands, procurement of medical equipment and their maintenance and works of medical colleges and hospital buildings were reviewed at the meeting. The health minister instructed departmental officers to ensure early completion of all incomplete works of hospital buildings. Director of Medical Education Dr Adile and senior officers of Health Department were also present at the meeting.
The health minister also reviews Covid-19 testing and treatment. He instructed to increase human resources at the new Artificial Lab in Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur and Ambikapur to test more and more suspected Coronavirus patients. RTCPR testing of corona virus is being done in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital Raipur and medical colleges in Jagdalpur and Raigarh. Apart from this, sample testing is being done at the lab in Lalpur area of Raipur.
The artificial lab testing capacity of corona virus infected people in the state is 3 thousand 500 at present. Arrangements are being made to increase it to 10 thousand. The Health Minister instructed officials concerned to make all necessary arrangements for early start of Artificial Lab in all the three medical colleges of the state.
