Eligible beneficiaries must avail benefit of govt schemes: Singh

Collector Doman Singh organised ‘chaupal’ in Gram Panchayat of Gram Kodopali and Bhurkoni under Pithora block on Saturday and conducted inspection of camp related to registration under Rajiv Gandhi Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana (RGBKMNY) and for survey registration, verification of OBC and EWS work. He said that the state government has launched many public welfare schemes for people from all categories. The government officers and employees and field staff should take up information about these schemes to citizens in large number and ensure that the needy beneficiaries gets due benefit, so that the eligible person by becoming aware of such schemes can draw its required beenfit.
Collector said that the landless agriculture labourers and those related to ‘pouni-pasari’ business under RGBKMNY will be paid an annual grant of Rs 6000 in the form of assistance. For this he directed to register eligible families as per state government’s instructions. On this occasion he directed the Gram Sachiv to ask the beneficiaries to present necessary documents for registration viz. Aadhar card, copy of bank passbook along with application form and provide copy of the application form submitted by the applicant. During the inspection he said that under the scheme the cut-off date (eligibility date) is 01 April 2021. In other words, for availing benefits under this scheme they should hold eligibility as on 1 April 2021 condition and in this only people with domicile of Chhattisgarh will be eligible. Durig this he also checked the applications being taken from the beneficiaries in the Panchayat and gave necessary instructions.
In the same way he also inspected about the survey work and verification for OBC and EWS people and informed that this work has been started from 1 Sept 2021 and the work that of online registration, data collection and verification will be done till 12 Oct 2021 and directed the concerned to complete this work in transparent manner within stipulated time.
