E-Summit 2021 concludes at IIIT

Raipur, Mar 21: The 2-Day E-Summit 2021, organized by IIIT-Naya Raipur, concluded on March 20, 2021. The Summit created an opportunity to bring together innovative and creative ideas from students and participants belonging to various parts of India. The event served as a medium to encourage and motivate students to take entrepreneurship as their career choice. Like the first day of E-Summit, the concluding day also had many events planned, such as keynote lectures, fireside chat, and student competitions.
The keynote lecture was preluded with a welcome address by Dr. Kuldip Singh Patel, Vice-President, Institute Innovation Cell, IIIT Naya Raipur. Dr. Patel greeted all the speakers and panelists and briefed all the participants about the first-day deliberations, and highlighted the knowledge sessions that were planned for the concluding day.
Saurabh Jain (Founder-Fun2Do Labs & Ex-VP, Paytm) accentuated how a startup can write success story for itself. He discussed how understanding customer pain points could be the key for any startup. After this, Mr. Ajinkya Kulkarni (Co-founder-GrowFix) talked about the need for startups and stressed that budding entrepreneurs should move out of their comfort zones and try out different domains.
The event also had an engaging fireside chat on the topic “Navigating Your Startup Career” with Mr. Shashank Mehta (GM/Head – RazorpayX) and Mr. SuhasMotwani (Chief Intern in Residence -The Product Folks) with numerous insights for participants. Later on, B-Quiz and CXO challenge was organized by students with more than 800 participants from the country.
The second half of the day, too, had some exciting lectures lined up with Mr. Jeevan Gopisetty (Co-Founder & CEO-NEMO) addressing “Why Start A Startup?”. He shared his experience about his dreams and how does the life of an entrepreneur look. Another meaningful address was by Dr. Aloknath De (Corporate VP and CTO-Samsung India). He discussed about the efforts an entrepreneur has to put in his job to realize his dreams. He opined that startups have to create something out of nothing, and hence they should always stay on their toes. The last address of the day was by Ms. Shivangi Srivastava (GM New Initiatives- Swiggy) on “Building for Bharat,” where she asked students to tap the opportunities presented by the local market. She further emphasized that the nation’s prosperity depends on the youth and budding entrepreneurs, and hence each of us should aim towards solving the grass-root level problems.
E-Cell of IIIT Naya Raipur conveyed thanks to all the experts, entrepreneurs, students, and participants who exhibited great enthusiasm during the whole event in the valedictory session. The discussions were made highly interactive through a healthy Q&A session between the speakers and students. The summit concluded with a stand-up comedy session by renowned comedian Mr. Rahul Dua. The participants thoroughly enjoyed the outstanding performance of Mr. Dua, and the summit ended on a positive note.
