Durg Police launches Tele-calling services to assist Covid patients

The second wave of Coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc in the entire world. Durg District has also registered sharp increase in the number of Covid Patients in the past couple of weeks. The entire administration has pulled up socks and is involved in corona combat in a sensitive and serious manner. Displaying their sensitive approach in this difficult situation, Inspector General of Police (Durg Range) Vivekananda Sinha and Superintendent of Police (Durg) Prashant Thakur had established Covid Help Desk for police family in Bhilai Police Control Room about 15 days ago. Through this helpdesk, the police personnel and their family members were assisted for getting Covid Vaccines, Covid Tests and other facilities. About 3000 people including serving cops, retired cops, martyred cops as well their family members were benefitted from this initiative.
Moving ahead in this direction, Durg Police launched tele-calling services to assist the people those who are staying in Home Isolation in the district. Police Superintendent Prashant Thakur reached Police Control Room and gave necessary directions to the staff deployed on tele-calling services. He sought information regarding the facilities being provided through the help desk and gave necessary instructions for improvement. It needs to be mentioned here that at present many people in Durg district are corona positive and are getting treatment while staying in home isolation. All these corona patients are being contacted on telephone and Police Control Room is seeking information about their health and medical requirements. Apart from this, Inspector General of Police, Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime) are also collecting information about the health of the corona victims and are providing them moral encouragement for speedy recovery.
Expanding the functioning in public interest, the district police have launched “Tele Calling” service. Help Desk officials are collecting information related to health and medical needs from Covid Patients on mobile phone. Inspector General of Police (Durg Range) Vivekananda Sinha; SP Prashant Thakur, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Praggya Meshram and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime) Praveer Chand Tiwari are also contacting the Corona infected family members on mobile phone and are enquiring about their health. They are also making efforts to provide the necessary facilities to them. They are giving suggestions about the precautions to be taken at home and to follow the medical protocol issued by the government.
