Durg Police conducts seminar on 2nd anniversary of ‘Jio Khulkar’

Bhilai, Jun 27: Durg Police conducted a seminar on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as well as second anniversary of ‘Jio Khulkar’ campaign. More than 300 students and their parents from Durg, Dhamdha and Patan blocks of the district joined this virtual event.
It needs to be mentioned here that under the directions of SP Prashant Thakur and ASP (City) Sanjay Dhruw and leadership of CSP (Durg) Vivek Shukla, Durg Police is conducting a special campaign against the illegal trade of intoxicants. Various social and spiritual organisations have been roped in to conduct the de-addiction and awareness drives.
While addressing the webinar, SP Prashant Thakur explained that how one can stay away from addiction with strong will power. ASP Sanjay Dhruw said that intoxication and drug abuse is the prime cause behind most of the criminal incidents. By staying away from intoxication, a better society can be established.
CSP Vivek Shukla urged the parents to keep watch on their children and protect them from bad habits. Social Welfare Department’s Deputy Director Domar Singh Thakur, Dr PL Sao from Gayatri Pariwar, Ajay Kalyani from Kalyani Sansthan, Acharya Ji from Anand Marg, Social Activist Sahana Qureshi and others shared their views.
