Konta, Sep 10: Seeing the arrangement of Swami Atmanand Government English Medium School (SAGEMS) in Sukma, which is included in the most Naxal affected districts, Principal Secretary of the Education Department, Dr. Alok Shukla was very impressed.
On Wednesday Dr. Shukla inspected SAGEMS, during this time Collector Vineet Nandanwar, Joint Director of Education Department Hemant Upadhyay, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nabha L Ismail, District Education Officer JK Prasad, District Mission Coordinator Shyam Sundar Singh Chauhan and officers of Education Department were present. .
Dr. Shukla during the inspection of the school visited the laboratory, library and classrooms and interacted with the children regarding studies and also asked questions. During the interaction of the teachers here, he also gave important tips, emphasizing on giving better education to the children.
Dr. Shukla said that it is necessary to increase the reading and writing ability of young children, so that the talent of the children of government schools should come out better than the children of private schools. At the same time, emphasis was placed on greater use of laboratories to explain the principles taught during studies to older
children.
He said that to understand the concepts better, children should be given tasks by dividing them into groups. Along with science, the principles of social science and mathematics can also be easily explained to children through experiments. These practical knowledge will prove to be very beneficial for their future as well. On this occasion Dr. Shukla also felicitated Pushkar Patel, a class IV student who got the second prize in the state in the state level SEZES Olympiad Science. The students of the School presented the artifacts self-made by them to the Principal Secretary of the Education Department. Dr. Shukla was overwhelmed to find these hand-crafted gifts by small children and admired these artifacts. He also praised the facilities available in the school.
The principal secretary of the technical education department got angry after seeing the low attendance of students in technical institutions. Dr Shukla expressed displeasure on thin attendance in Polytechnic, ITIs and warned of strict action against the officials of the institute if the attendance of the children is not increase.
Shukla said that keeping in view the future, the work of making the youth fully skilled is done in these institutions. The youth of this region should also be proficient in today’s technological era, for this it is necessary that they should be regularly present in the institute.
