Dr Pramod Shukla felicitated with national teacher’s award

Raipur, Sep 05: On occasion of Teacher’s Day, the President of India Ramnath Kovind felicitated 44 teachers in virtual manner from all over the country for doing remarkable works in the field of education. In the virtual programme for National Teacher’s award 2021, Dr Pramod Kumar Shukla from Eklavya Adarsh Residential School, Karpavand, Jagdalpur district, Bastar was the only teacher to be felicitated by the President. On this occasion Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradbah, Union Minister of state for Education Annapurna Devi, Dr Subhash Sarkar, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh were present.
The programme was organised at state secretariat in Naya Raipur. The Secretary SC, ST welfare Department DD Singh and Commissioner Shammi Abidi physically presented Dr Pramod Shukla with medal, citation certificate, shawl and srifal and greeted him on occasion of Teacher’s Day. Secretary DD Singh expressed gratitude on behalf of state government to Dr Pramod Shukla for his dedication, hard work in the field of education. Commissioner Tribal Welfare Deptt Shammi Abidi said that Dr Shukla through his novel means of teaching and new techniques in education has brought laurels to Chhattisgarh.
On this occasion President of India Ramnath Kovind addressed the teachers online. He said that it is an honour to be part of National Teacher’s Award ceremony and he extended greetings to all the teachers for their special contribution in promotion of education. By knowing about such teachers, President said that his confidence has got strengthened that the future of younger generation of country is in safe hands.
It is notable here that there is only one Eklavya residential School in Karpavand Bastar district. Dr Shukla was felicitated for his remarkable works in the field of education with national teacher’s award 2021. It is a big achievement for Tribal Welfare Department of Chhattisgarh which is running 71 Eklavya Vidyalayas in the state.
Dr Pramod Kumar Shukla is posted as English teacher in Eklavya Model Residential School in Karpavand, District Basatar. He has done many novel efforts in the field of teaching and studies. In order to remove fear of English in the minds of students, Dr Pramod introduced noval idea of holding an English lesson-based drama once a week. During this the students are given freedom of expression, so that the fear of English from their mind can be removed. In this School, in order to improve result of English subject, the new method adopted helped in creating interest towards English language.
Dr Shukla apart from this activeness has been appointed as Nodal Officer for Inspire Award. As the Nodal Officer, he organised interaction programme and online guidance for students of his institution in Bastar from Central University Lucknow, Bastar University and others. As a result of this, it is for the first time that 145 students of remote district of Bastar were selected for Inspire Award by the National selection committee and all were presented with prize of Rs 10000 each as an honour. Dr Shukla through his novel efforts ensured success to many students in National merit cum means scholarship exam, SCERT’s Science Quiz competition; NTSE, KUPY and other such competitive exams. With such efforts so far 68 students have got selected. Lased with multifaceted personality, Dr Shukla has so far published more than 15 research papers at national and international level research journals.
