Divisional Commissioner reviews activities of various departments

Bhilai, June 11: Divisional Commissioner Dilip Wasnikar reviewed the activities of various departments during a meeting held on Tuesday. He directed the officials to complete the works of Lok Sewa Guarantee Act within the time limit. He further directed the officials of health department to ensure sufficient stock of medicines at the hospitals before the outbreak of rainy season. The officials of PM Sadak Yojna weer instructed to complete the ongoing road projects before rainy season. The officials of Education Department were asked to pay more emphasis on qualitative education and keep watch on the activities of teachers.
Wasnikar directed the officials to get the construction works of roads linking to tourist spots before rainy season. He further suggested that the government officials should prefer to stay at the units of tourism department during their visit to different areas for promoting tourism. The departments associated with tourism department should also work for promotion of tourism.
Divisional Commissioner asked the civic body officials to ensure clean drinking water supply during monsoon. The officials of food department were asked to purchase maximum quantity of paddy from the farmers. The social welfare department officials were asked to ensure benefit transfer to the disabled through banks. SC / ST Welfare Department officials were instructed to issue cast certificates along with the birth certificates of the children.
Reviewing the status of state government’s ambitious project “Narwa – Garuwa – Ghuruwa – Baadi”, Wasnikar directed the officials to complete the construction works of Gauthans as soon as possible. The veterinary officials were instructed to maintain sufficient stock of medicines and make arrangements of fodder fro cattle at the gauthans. CREDA officials were asked to install the Solar Pumps at Model Villages within stipulated time frame. Wasnikar directed the mining officials to keep watch on illegal mining and take stern action against the violators. Women and Child Development Department officials were instructed to ensure that the benefits of all the schemes reach to the entitled people. The officials of Forest Department were asked to ensure protection of newly planted saplings till they grow to strong trees.
