Directors of Chit-fund Company apprehended within two days

Bhilai, Nov 24: As per the intentions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and instructions of IGP Dr Anand Chhabra and SP Dr Abhishek Pallava, Durg Police succeeded in arresting two directors of a Chit Fund Company. They are accused of luring people to invest in their firm on the promise of doubling their investment within a short period. Supela Police arrested the directors of chit fund company Nirmal Chhaya Real Estate and Allied Limited. Durg Police is continuously taking action against the directors of the chit fund companies and efforts are being made to return the money to the investors.

According to information, the directors of Nirmal Chhaya Real Estate and Allied Limited branch, Nehru Nagar Bhilai, gave tempting offers to the common people to deposit the amount on the pretext of doubling or tripling the deposited amount in a short period of time.  On completion of the time period, when the customers approached the company for withdrawal of the maturity amount, the directors of the company cheated them by refusing them to return the money. On the complaint of investors, a case was lodged at police station Supela under section 420 of IPC and Sections 7, 10 of Chhattisgarh Protection of Interests of Investors Act, 2005.

The case was lodged on November 23, 2022 against the directors of Nirmal Chhaya Real Estate and Allied Limited. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police (Durg) Dr Abhishek Pallav and Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjay Dhruv and City Superintendent of Police (Bhilai) Nikhil Rakhecha, the Supela Police swung into action and arrested Chitfund Company Director Prakash Chand Nishad from Gunderdehi and Prakash Chandra Kurveti from Mandla (MP) on November 24. They were produced before the court and have been sent to jail on judicial remand. The arrested accused are Prakash Chand Nishad (39) son of Dhanraj Nishad a resident of Khuteri, Police Station and PO Gundardehi, presently residing at Santoshipara, Chhawani; and Prakash Chandra Kurveti (40) son of Harnam Kurveti a resident of Dhanpuri, District Mandla (MP).

Inspector Durgesh Sharma (SHO, Supela), Sub Inspector Pramod Srivastava, Head Constable Prahlad Bajpai, Constable Vikas Tiwari, Shailendra Srivastava and women constable Toshi Goswami played a vital role in arresting the accused.
