Direct selling requires sway

So far, only eight states have formed committees in the country to monitor direct selling, as efforts to strengthen the regulatory framework to weed out entities operating fraudulent schemes and protect the interests of direct sellers and their businesses continuity.This will help protect the direct selling industry in the respective states and provide policy clarity for the industry.Rules and Regulations are required for direct selling companies to own, hold, licence a trademark/service mark for the goods or services in remaining states of the country.Furthermore, it requires direct selling companies to upload all important details such as balance sheets and FSSAI licenses, as well as appoint Grievance Redressal officers to resolve consumer complaints.
