State Education Officer appeals to parents not to pay school fees

State Education Department has issued an order not to collect any fees from private schools. Despite fees ban issued by the Education Department, private schools are charging fees from parents citing various reasons. In this concern, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad submitted a memorandum to the District Education Officer on Wednesday regarding this issue. On the occasion, a large number of police forces was deployed. The ABVP has demanded to end the arbitrariness of private schools immediately. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad said that private schools are collecting fees despite the closure of schools in lockdown. The parents are being harassed in case of non-payment of fees. The school management is threatening to withdraw the name of students from school and not to admit them again if fees are not submitted. Despite such steps by school management no action is taken against them, alleged ABVP.
Speaking on the occasion District Education Officer GR Chandrakar said ABVP has submitted a memorandum regarding its demands, earlier also we have received similar complaints. When the complaints were investigated, many complaints were found to be false. Notices are being sent to the schools whose complaints are being received, then further action will be taken. Investigation of some cases is still going on. The education officer has appealed to the parents not to pay the school fees and follow the order issued.
