Even as BJP emerged as single largest party in Karnataka assembly poll, by afternoon the two lesser seat winning parties have formed post poll alliance.
As per reports coming in, the arrangement now is that Deve Gowda’s party has agreed to joining in the Congress to form the next state government in Karnataka.
Apparently, Congress has conceded to Gowda’s son Kumaraswamy as chief minister of the state.
It remains to be seen if the BJP indeed has some cards up their sleeves.
It need be mentioned that Congress is increasingly getting marginalized as a national party and the latest alliance could not have entirely been ruled out.
Congress may well field its own Dalit leader as Deputy Chief Minister of the state and also have some key portfolios in the state cabinet.
