DEO expresses annoyance over absence of teachers

Bemetara, Feb 19: District Education Officer (DEO) Madhulika Tiwari conducted inspection of Government High Schools in Mataka, Jiya, Tivaraiyya, Atargadhi, Devari and Higher Secondary Schools in Jevara, Kathia-Ranka, Sarda. During inspection of School in Mataka, only one teacher Pradeep Rajput was found present and principal in-charge and other teachers were out-of-station for some official work. Whereas another teacher Arunika Diwas came late after the actual timing of the School and other three teachers of the school were found to be absent without any notice.
In Government High School Jiya the Principal In-Charge PK Raipuriha reported late to the School and on finding lack of cleaning in the School, DEO Tiwari expressed her annoyance and directed the Principal in-charge to ensure strict adherence to timings in the School for all. In this school, lecturer Rajkumar Tandon (Science) and Lecturer Reveshwar Kumar (Maths) were found to be absent without any prior information. In Government HS School Jewara while conducting inspection at 11:24 am, the Principal in-charge SMR Dhruv was found to be absent for last two days without any prior information. Santosh Sahu; Neeta Sahu, Deepshikha Mane, Rashmi Agrawal, Yogeshwar Dewangan (all lecturers), Padmaja Singh, Manjusha Singh, Kavita Sharma (Asst. Grade-2); Rajesh Yadav, Novendra Kumar, Chikendra Kumar Sahu Vocational teacher; Ghanshyam Dadsena vocational teacher were found to be absent without any prior information.
Similarly teachers in other schools were also found to be absent and DEO directed the Principal in-charge to ensure adherence to school timings and issue notices to those absent without any information or seeking leave. During inspection DEO Tiwari directed to ensure presence of all students from Class 9th to 12th so that students can appear in the practical exams. She said that it is keeping in mind Board exams, special work plan be prepared and make arrangements for exams. While calling children to the school, they should be given clear-cut guidelines for protection from Corona virus and ensure adherence to covid-19 protocol by one & all. DEO Tiwari expressed annoyance over bare minimum attendance of teachers in the School and directed the withdrawal and treasury officers to deduct one-day salary of all heads of the institutions found to be absent during her inspection. DEO also directed to get the clarification from all other teachers and submit reply to DEO’s office by heads of the Schools.
