Decision to change sitting MPs brought good results: Bais

Raipur: Former Union Minister and newly – appointed Governor of Tripura Ramesh Bais on Tuesday said that decision of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to change the sitting MPs from Chhattisgarh has brought good results.

Bais made the above statement while interacting with the media persons on his arrival here from New Delhi after being entrusted with the new responsibility of Tripura. He said that every decisions of party is acceptable as it is for betterment and added that it showed with the victory of 9 seats out of 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh in the just concluded elections.

He said that he had not entered into politics for post or designation. During his early days, the people had never expected that the saffron brigade would form government and the leaders used to get happy with just few seats in Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Talking to reporters, he said that he would hold talks with the Tripura Chief Minister on his assuming office soon. Top BJP leaders including the Raipur South MLA Brijmohan Agrawal and others accorded warm welcome to him on his arrival at Mana Airport. He also interacted with party workers at Ekatma Parishar.
