Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS) Blue defeated Red team by a huge margin of 121 runs in the selection trial match being organized here on Friday. Onkar Verma was the most successful bowler for CSCS Blue as he claimed 4 wickets in second innings of the match. Saurabh Majumdar and Atul Sharma also claimed two wickets each to ensure victory for the Blue team.
Earlier, Amandeep Khare scored 78 runs to set a target over 345 runs for the Red Team. Aishwarya Maurya (55 runs) and Sumit Ruikar (49 runs) also made valuable contributions for the team.
In the second match being played at Raipur District Cricket Association (RDCA) Ground, Siddharth Chandrakar scored 106 runs for his team CSCS Green to ensure a draw against CSCS Yellow team.
At close of play, CSCS Green had reached 214 for 6. While Siddharth scored century, the ace all-rounder Ajay Mandol (45 runs) and Shahwan Khan (49 runs) also made valuable contributions for the team to check defeat in the match.
M Binny Samuel claimed two wickets for Yellow team whereas Snehil Chadha, Vishwaranjan Tripathi and Parivesh Dhar also claimed one wicket each for the team but failed to provide victory to the team on final day of the match.
