The insurgents have struck again in the restive Sukma district of Chhattisgarh state.
CRPF 212 Batttalion personnel who had been out on patrol within Kistaram police station limits have come under attack from the naxals.
The patrol party, as per reports had been out since Friday night, and it came under attack from the insurgents only this morning.
It is said that they were attacked by naxals who had been laying there in hiding waiting for the opportunity.
The location is said to be around 10 kms from the Kistaram police station and latest reports suggest that an ASI has been martyred.
Hailing from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, Anil Kumar had been serving the CRPF forces here in Chhattisgarh.
In any case, this year has been more violent as naxal attacks have spiked all of sudden.
