COVID fear goes on vacation as lockdown restrictions loosened

Central Chronicle News
Mungeli, May 21: As markets were opened and shops lifted their shutters, the common man irrespective of COVID lurking around, were in high picnic mode as many were seen sans mask and isolation norms in the region.
Instead Corono guidelines were isolated and people in crowds assembled together taking COVID 19 in a lighter mood. Both cities and rural villages witnessed the same as people hurried and crowded in front of shops and markets for their turn of goods. Many were seen without mask and social distancing was kept in pockets as the hustle and bustle reminded nothing about COVID 19 and the recent deaths associated to it. The district administration on high alert has warned the public of serious consequences if COVID guidelines are violated in vain. Though the administration has posted official of the Municipal and health department to take action against the violators, but the numbers of these officials are outnumbering the crowd in Chowks and squares. The pending third wave of COVID 19, it seems has failed to bring fear among the local crowd, who still largely believe in celebrations and fun, till COVID knocks at their doors
