* DGP, 2 ADGs might have to be quarantined

Panic gripped Chhattisgarh Police Head Quarters (PHQ) on Wednesday after nine personnel tested positive of COVID-19. Even worrisome was the fact that DGP DM Awasthi and two ADGs Pawan Deo and Ashok Juneja might have to be quarantined for having directly come in contact with these personnel testing positive.
According to information from PHQ sources, two drivers of an ADG were the first to be detected COVID-19 positive and within few minutes it was revealed that six personnel from the Police Housing Board Corporation have also tested positive. Earlier in the afternoon, it was revealed that an officer posted in Special Investigation Bureau (SIB), who commutes daily from Bhilai, has also tested positive of COVID-19.
In other COVID-19 related developments in the capital, two personnel of Raipur Traffic police also tested positive apart from 19 others. These 19 include an electronic media journalist, 5 international travelers, 2 inter-state travelers, 3 health care workers, 3 primary contacts of already tested positive patients, a housewife, 2 pregnant women and 2 untraced primary contacts.
