COVID-19 death toll in Chhattisgarh crosses 1600 mark

Raipur, Oct 22: COVID-19 (Coronavirus) death toll in Chhattisgarh has crossed 1600 mark with death of 6 patients during the last 24 hours. As many as 2360 fresh COVID-19 (Coronavirus) positive patients were detected in the state during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 167639 on Wednesday. Meanwhile 399 patients were discharged from various hospitals after recovery.
According to information received from health department out of 2360 fresh Coronavirus positive patients maximum 247 belong to Raigarh whereas 209 patients were found in Raipur, 135 in Durg, 138 in Rajnandgaon, 71 in Balod, 47 in Bemetara, 46 in Kabirdham, 106 in Dhamtari, 56 in Baloda-Bazaar, 100 in Mahasamund, 22 in Gariaband, 152 in Bilaspur, 138 in Korba, 207 in Janjgir-Champa, 39 in Mungeli, 7 in Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi, 38in Sarguja, 54 in Koriya, 107 in Surajpur, 18 in Balrampur, 51 in Jashpur, 83 in Bastar, 40 in Kondagaon, 83 in Dantewada, 31 in Sukma, 95 in Kanker, 13 in Narayanpur and 27 in Bijapur.
Meanwhile 399 patients who were undergoing treatment in various hospitals have recovered and they have returned` to their homes after discharge. Six Coronavirus positive patients including 4 with co-morbidities died in various hospitals. Total 167638 samples have so far tested positive for Coronavirus. At present 25795 active Coronavirus positive patients are under treatment in various hospitals. Total 1628 Coronavirus positive patients have died in the state.
