COVID-19: Ch’garh records 2272 fresh cases, 10 deaths

Raipur, Sep 25: Chhattisgarh has witnessed 2272 fresh COVID-19 (Coronavirus) patients on Wednesday. With this, state’s COVID-19 tally rose to 95623 on Thursday, though 589 patients who were undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the state have recovered and they have returned to homes after discharge. Meanwhile 10 persons, infected with Coronavirus have died.
According to information received from health department out of 2272 fresh Coronavirus positive patients maximum 410 belong to Raipur whereas 201 patients were found in Durg, 113 in Rajnandgaon, 45 in Balod, 46 in Bemetara, 45 in Kawardha, 113 in Dhamtari, 91 in Baloda-Bazaar, 44 each in Mahasamund and Gariaband, 244 in Bilaspur, 11 in Raigarh, 50 in Korba, 51 in Janjgir, 66 in Mungeli, 8 in Pendra, 68 in Sarguka. 1 in Koriya, 33 in Surajpur, 31 in Balrampur, 116 in Bastar, 36 in Kondagaon, 169 in Dantewada, 46 in Sukma, 128 in Kanker, 12 in Narayanpur and 50 in Bijapur.
Meanwhile 589 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery. Ten patients infected with COVID-19 also died. According to health department seven of the deceased had co-morbidities. Total 998347 suspected COVID-19 patients were identified in the state so far and their samples were sent to labs for testing. Samples of 95623 of them tested positive for COVID- 19. As many as 36038 active COVID-19 patients are presently undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the state while total 41058 patients have recovered and they have gone back to their homes after being discharged from hospitals. Moreover 752 patients who were infected with COVID-19 have died in the state so far.
