Couple, two children get trapped in car

Raipur, Jun 20: A speeding truck and an Alto car collided head-on in a major road accident that took place late last night on Abhanpur road, 30 km away from the capital Raipur. The ill-fated car got stuck between a tree and the truck after accident and inmates of the car including a couple with two children remained trapped inside the car for several hours. They could be rescued after several hours of hard work.
Truck driver fled leaving the truck on the spot after accident. The car was badly damaged in accident.
Police and fire brigade team reached the spot and rescued the two children trapped in the car and helped them go back to their home. According to the information received, the accident took place in the area falling under jurisdiction of Rakhi police station. Car rider Ashutosh Yogi is resident of Raipura and is posted in IT department in Mantralaya Raipur. He was on his way back home after having dinner at the dhaba with his wife Pinky and two children.
This accident took place when they were on way to Raipur. All of them sustained injuries. The couple trapped in the front seats of the car could be rescued after about four hours of hard work. JCB and two cranes were pressed in action to rescue them.
Ashutosh Yogi, posted in the IT department said that he was coming back to Raipur after having dinner from the dhaba with wife Pinky and two children. Rakhi police carried the husband and wife to the hospital and seized the truck besides registering a case against the truck driver.
