Corporation team evicts encroachment on nullah

Bhilai, May 31: The Bhilai municipal corporation team on Monday demolished an illegal encroachment on the big nullah (canal) in front of Indu IT School. Because of this wall that had been constructed on the nullah, there was an obstruction in the rain water drainage and Corporation received a complaint on this account that one Kaki Shubba Rao had constructed a huge wall on the sides of the drain. Acting on the complaint, the staff of Bhilai Municipal Corporation carried out anti encroachment action in the presence of the police and thus demolished the illegally constructed wall. Assistant Revenue Officer of Zone 02 Vaishali Nagar Sanjay Verma explained that the Corporation has taken up pre monsoon maintenance and cleanliness work so that rain water can flow to its destination without any obstruction and there is no complaint of water logging. Small and big drains are being cleaned on a large scale. It was during this that a complaint was obtained that aforesaid person has constructed a boundary wall close to the nullah and in front of Indu IT school. On the basis of the complaint, instructions were obtained for breaking the illegally constructed boundary wall, on which the staff of Zone 02 Revenue Department reached the spot along with police and demolished boundary wall which was extending around 20 feet with the use of an earthmover.
