Congress stages road blockade against rising inflation

Raipur, Jun 18: Congress staged road bloackade in Raipur on Friday in protest against price rise. Pradesh Congress Committee president along with block level office bearers raised protest against policies of Modi government at the centre.
Congress workers led by MLA Kuldeep Juneja staged road bloackade at Fafadih Chowk in protest against hike in prices of LPG gas, petrol and diesel. Congress workers blocked the road symbolically. Making a scathing attack on the Modi government over rising inflation MLA Kuldeep Juneja said that inflation should be reduced in the same way as it was increased.
Block President Sunil Bhuwal, Sattu Singh, Manoj Rathi, Daulat Rohra, Sanjay Soni, Srinivas Rao, Shyam Sikka, Madhav Chhura, Kamal Grithalare, Mahendra Sen, Gulab Makhija, Chitranga Sahu, Makarand Tandi, Hitesh Pandya, Sagar Tandi and other Congress workers participated in protest.
Congress did such experiments in the compulsion of not being able to stage a big demonstration during the COVID situation. Congress MLA from Raipur Vikas Upadhyay along with his supporters had reached Tatibandh area to stage protest against price rise in the middle of the road connecting the main highway to the Tatibandh Chowk. Youth Congress workers staged protest in Ring Road-1 in DD Nagar Bhathagaon. Staging road blockade the Youth Congress workers raised slogans against central government.
Traffic on the national highway came to a standstill for some time due to protest of Congress leaders. The road bloackade continued for 15 to 20 minutes, causing inconvenience to the people. Youth Congress state president Koko Padhi said during the protest that the central government was harassing the common man. Demanding immediate measures to check inflation he warned that Congress will intensify its protest.
Meanwhile Mahila Congress has announced a virtual demonstration against inflation on June 20. Under virtual demonstration Mahila Congress workers will upload protesting pictures and messages on the internet media and will communicate through video conferencing.
