Congmen take out cycle rally against inflation

Central Chronicle News
Bhilai, Jul 14: On Wednesday, the Congress party workers took out a cycle rally in protest of uncontrolled inflation and price rise of commodities. They accused the Modi Government for the price rise of fuel and other essential commodities including food items.
Pradesh Congress Committee in-charge secretary Dr Chandan Yadav, PCC vice-president Girish Dewangan, District Congress in-charge Lalji Chandravanshi also reached Bhilai to lead the demonstrators.
The rally was led by District President Tulsi Sahu and Congress Spokesperson and MLA Devendra Yadav. All the members of District Congress Committee, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, office bearers and workers of NSUI participated in this rally.
State Congress spokesperson and Bhilai Nagar MLA Devendra Yadav said that the Modi government at the Center is solely responsible for the rising prices of petrol and diesel and skyrocketing prices of cooking oil to LPG cylinders.
The central government is robbing the people by dragging them into the fire of inflation. With the formation of Modi government, inflation and unemployment have increased in the country. Now the situation has turned worst and if the situation persists, the people will die of hunger in the country.
Today, petrol has crossed Rs 100 mark, cooking oil is being sold for more than Rs 200 per litre and LPG costs above Rs 900 per cylinder. It was during the Corona transition period that the Modi government increased the duty on petrol by Rs 13 per liter and on diesel by Rs 16 per liter.
In the last two months, the Modi government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 9.81 per liter and that of diesel by Rs 8.80 per liter.
Devendra Yadav further said that the erstwhile UPA government led by Dr Manmohan Singh had brought 27 crore people out of poverty. Today, NDA government has completely failed on the economic front. They neither have any model of economic recovery nor do they have the will to fight inflation.
Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi had given the slogan ‘opportunity in disaster’ and working for his personal interests he has broken the economy. The youth are left unemployed and the country is becoming poorer. Modi government has also increased the duty on basic commodities like petrol, diesel and LPG gas.
He said that there was a time when all the BJP leaders of Chhattisgarh used to hit the roads even after the petty increase of 2 paise on petrol. But today petrol has crossed Rs 100 but they neither have the courage to question the government and nor to face the public. Congress party has always showed concern for the pay pockets of the common people.
Congress has always aimed on putting the money directly in the pockets of the people, but the attitude of the Narendra Modi government has always been to increase the wealth of their leaders and friends.
