Raipur: Commercial Tax Minister T.S. Singhdeo discussed the GST in detail in a meeting with departmental officers and representatives of trade and industry at the New Rest House here on Tuesday. Representatives of various organisations highlighted the problems faced in the GST filing in the meeting.
They gave many suggestions regarding its simplification, implementation and software. Singhdeo, after going through their suggestions, said that he would keep it in the meeting of the GST Council. He will now discuss GST issue in every three months with representatives of trade and industry. He said that the Commercial Tax Department is serious about the problems of trade and industries and he is always available to discuss this issue.
Commercial tax minister Singhdeo had invited businessmen, traders, industrialists and Chartered Accountants for discussion issues related to GST filing. He said that the relevant suggestions received in this regard will be placed before the GST Council to make GST simple, convenient and effective. He also suggested to form a technical advisory committee involving departmental officers and representatives of industry and business for regular discussion on this.
Representatives of the Urla Industrial Association , Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries , Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), Raipur Sales Tax Bar Association and Chartered Accountants Association shared their suggestions and problems regarding GST.
