Collector & SP take COVID-19 vaccine shots

Bhilai, Feb 08: District Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure and SP Prashant Thakur on Monday reached the Vaccination Centre in Durg District hospital and got vaccinated.
Along with him all the other top officials of the collectorate also reached the vaccination center and got inoculated. All the hospital formalities related to COVID protocol were completed wherein the hospital staff first briefed the officials about the COVID Vaccine.
After vaccination, they were kept under observation to check for any possible side effects. No side effects were noted. Along with Collector and SP other main officers of the district administration who got vaccinated were Additional Collector Prakash Surve and BB Panchabhai, Assistant Collector Jitendra Yadav, Durg SDM Khemlal Verma, Patan SDM Vinay Poyam, CSP Vivek Shukla, Deputy Collector Arun Verma, Divya Vaishnav and other officials. So far, more than eleven thousand six hundred people have been immunized in the district. All have been vaccinated safely.
CMHO Dr Gambhir Singh Thakur informed that on Monday vaccines were administered to key officials including Collector and SP. After vaccination, they were kept under observation for a fixed period.
They did not show any side effects from the vaccine. He further informed that vaccination work is being carried out daily in all centers. In the first phase health workers were vaccinated and they are being monitored daily. According to the protocol, all things like cold chain are being followed.
He explained that those who are to get vaccinated information come on their mobile numbers. Here it is worth mentioning that the District Hospital has been made Covid Centre and the first Covid vaccine was administered to Dr Sugam Sawant incharge of Shankaracharya Covid Hospital.
