Raigarh, May 12: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Forest Department under the joint aegis of District Save Forest Committee, Collector Yashwant Kumar planted the saplings at Indira Vihar, and urged to spread the message of ‘Ped Lagao, Dharti Bachao’, ‘Plant trees and Save the Earth’ among the common people. A total of 22 saplings of Neem, Mahadagania, Awla were planted and encouraged to plant trees for water conservation and protection. On this occasion Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, Superintendent of Police, Ramdas Agarwal, Social Worker, President of District Seva Forest Committee, Gopal Agrawal appealed people to save the environment by planting trees around their houses. District Panchayat CEO Mrs Chandan Sanjay Tripathi, DFO Raigarh Manoj Pandey, Janpad CEO Ashish Devganan also planted the saplings. On this occasion, Divya Shakti Sanstha, Sahitya Sanstha team, Forest Department’s SDO N.R. Khunte, Ranger, RC Yadav, Deputy Ranger Rajeshwar Mishra, Journalist Naresh Sharma, Secretary of Save Forest Committee Mohsin Khan and Sushil Panda was present.
