Collector interacts with students and teachers of SAGES at Deepak Nagar

Bhilai, Oct 08: Under the state government’s ambitious project, Swami Atmanand English Medium School (SAGES) has been opened in Deepak Nagar area of Durg city. On Friday, District Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure visited this school and interacted with the children and teachers.
When he arrived, the classes of science subjects were going on. Collector asked questions related to the lesson from the children. He asked the children how they were feeling in this school. The children replied that the teacher teaches us in a nice and interesting manner. Dr Bhure also asked the children to read the textbook.
He told the teachers that the intention of the government behind opening Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools is to provide quality education to every child in English medium so that the language shall not create any hurdle in their progress and career.
He instructed the teachers to improve the vocabulary of English of every child. He asked the teachers to work harder for bringing out better output from the children. Collector told the teachers that the society has great expectations from them and urged them to work harder. He assured that the government and administration will ensure that there is no shortage of resources.
DMC Commissioner Haresh Mandavi informed that the work of renovation and additional construction of the building is being done at a cost of Rs 1.35 crore. Collector asked him to chalk out a proper plan for the development of this school.
There should be a good library, play corner and good science labs. He told the principal that the innovations that have been done in other English medium schools should be started here as well. Assistant Collector Hemant Nadanwar was also present during the inspection.
Thereafter, the Collector visited Indira Market and inspected the progress of Unished. The top work has been done in the shed and now the work will start for the platforms. Collector instructed to complete the work at the earliest. He also observed the situation of cleanliness etc in the market.
Collector also inspected the Water Treatment Plant. DMC Commissioner displayed the automation system installed here. The drinking water supply is completely monitored through the automation system. Collector directed to complete the construction of the tanks within the stipulated time frame.
He said that the supply of pure drinking water is the foremost responsibility. He asked the officials to ensure continuous monitoring and immediately attend the complaints of low pressure, etc.
Collector also assessed the progress of Raipur Naka Underbridge construction. He emphasised on the need of speedy construction works to provide relief and better facilities to the citizens. He added that the RUB will help in regulating the traffic. Collector also reached Jawahar Nagar where he inspected the garden.
He said that all the gardens should be well organized and maintained. He instructed them to remove the bushes. He asked the Zone Commissioners to identify the requirements of the gardens and take appropriate action.
