Collector instructs strict action on events without permission

In view of the increasing cases of Corona in the district, Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure took an important meeting at the Collectorate on Sunday. In the meeting, he directed all the revenue officers and other officers of the municipal corporations to strictly follow the Corona Guideline and take strict action against those organising events without permission. He also directed to perform strict monitoring in public places and also take strong action against those who are not wearing masks. SP Prashant Thakur who was also present in the meeting said that police and corporation squads should constantly monitor that people follow the Corona Guidelines. Static teams will be appointed in the major traffic intersections of the city to see whether people are wearing masks or not. A mobile unit will also continuously monitor the public places. Apart from this, the police and corporation team will also keep an eye on whether any event is being held without government permission. Municipal Corporation Bhilai Commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi, Additional Collector Prakash Sarwe, BB Panchabhai, ASP Rohit Jha, ASP Pragya Meshram and other officers were present in the meeting.
Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure further directed that in view of the increasing cases of COVID all permission issued earlier should be revoked. If a citizen wants to organize an event, he will have to apply for permission again and permission will be given in this regard after reviewing the unavoidable conditions of the event and the use of DJ will be completely banned.
Collector also directed to form containment zones where more cases are being reported or which are hotspots. Along with this, all the street vendors coming to the hotspot area will be tested. Along with this, testing of other vendors will also be done.
Collector stressed on the fact that Contact tracing is most important. Contact tracing of at least 20 people behind a positive should be done so that it can help to prevent corona infection as much as possible. Along with this, instructions for maximum vaccination were also given. Collector added that all the players who are coming to the sports competition in the district will have to submit the report of the corona test. He said that spectators will not be allowed in any game.
The collector also gave instructions to prepare hospitals. He instructed to keep the preparation of 70 beds in the district hospital. Besides, instructions were also given for necessary preparations in Shankaracharya Hospital. The collector also gave instructions to prepare a separate isolation center. Along with this, he instructed to monitor cleanliness in the isolation center and in hospitals, eating and drinking, and proper monitoring of proper arrangements. He said that the Nodal Officer should monitor it continuously.
The schedule of Board exams and practical to be held will remain unchanged. He directed the corporation commissioner to take necessary decision if needed to shift the weekly markets to the open places.
He also said that traders coming from outside should undergo mandatory testing. He directed to co-ordinate with the presidents of the trade association in this regard.
