Collector instructs officials to ensure strict compliance of lockdown

Bhilai, May 16: The number of Covid 19 cases has decreased significantly in the district but the serious threat still persists. Even a petty negligence could lead to disastrous consequences. Considering the situation, District Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure and SP Prashant Thakur chaired a meeting of the top officials of District Administration and Police Department on Sunday. They instructed the officials to make sure that the rules of lockdown are followed completely. This will help in complete elimination of the Noval Coronavirus infection. In the meeting, they discussed in detail with the officers regarding the guidelines issued in connection with the lock-down which has been implemented in the district till May 31. Collector said that the fight against Corona has been relatively successful as a result of the previous lock-downs in the district. The former lock-down has reduced the speed of the Corona transition in the district. When the worrying situation was created, strict lock down has been successful in controlling the corona infection. He said that intensive monitoring should be done continuously till the corona infection is eradicated completely. According to the new guidelines, the establishments which have been given relaxations, will be operated within the prescribed criteria. Also, the businesses which are restricted should not be operated in any condition. The officials should strictly monitor the situation. He said that the border of the district will remain sealed till May 31. Unnecessary movement will also be restricted. He told the officials that till now they have discharged their responsibilities very efficiently and hoped that they will continue working in the same manner. Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur said in the meeting that law and order should be maintained during lock down. All the cops have acted with great responsibility. In the same way, they have to continue working in their respective areas. Officers of the urban body, sub divisional officers of the administration and police departments were present in the meeting. Collector informed that all the super markets, super bazaars, vegetable markets, malls, showrooms, marriage halls, swimming pools, clubs, cinema halls, salons, beauty parlours, spa, gyms and other public places will remain closed. Liquor shops operating under the district will remain closed, but home delivery will be allowed through the online application. All parks, resorts and all religious places with group presence, cultural and tourism etc will be completely banned for the general public. The work of loading / unloading will continue at the office / workshop, rake point associated with telecom, railway workshop. The maximum number of ten people will be involved in organizing the marriages in the residence of the bride or groom and subject to strict observance of the Covid-19 protocol. Similarly, the maximum number of ten people will be involved in the funeral, dashagatra etc and death related programmes. The operation of the shops for the sale of all paan, cigarettes, tobacco products and roadside eateries will be prohibited. Public Service Centers and Choice Centers will be opened till 17:00 hrs. In the agriculture sector, shops will be allowed for agricultural machinery, seed, fertilizers and pesticides and pet and aquarium shops for sale of cattle feed to animals during 11 am to 5 pm. All the hospitals are medical shops, clinics and veterinary hospitals will be operated within their stipulated time. Industrial institutes and construction units will be allowed to operate by keeping laborers within their campuses. Petrol pumps, gas agencies and medical shops will be able to open for a full time period, but the gas agency will give priority to home delivery of cylinders through telephone online orders.
