Collector chairs meeting of health officials

Mahasamund, Jun 04: Collector Doman Singh conducted a meeting of health officials to take stock of the measures being taken for controlling corona infection and steps taken for its prevention. He also asked about the vaccination programme in the district.
Collector got apprised about the treatment of corona patients, COVID vaccination and arrangements for the management of COVID-19. He instructed to ensure immediate treatment of the corona patients as per the set protocol of treatment. Collector instructed that under no circumstances there should be mismanagement at health centres. Collector on Wednesday inspected quarantine centres in the district and took stock of the arrangements for treatment and food of patients in these centres. Collector reviewed the ongoing vaccination programme and instructed to increase the pace of vaccination. He stressed on more corona testing and expressed satisfaction on the condition of testing and vaccination in the district when compared to other districts.
Dr Doman Singh anticipating third wave in the district instructed to make all preparations before-hand as people are worried about the possible third wave. It was informed that about 12,000 covid shield vaccines are available in the district, The first dose was administered to 02 lakh 32 thousand and 732 beneficiaries and second dose vaccine was given to 50 thousand 636 beneficiaries. In the same way 39 thousand 163 eligible beneficiaries between 18-44 age group was administered vaccines. On this occasion zilla panchayat CEO Akash Chikara, CMHO Dr N K Mandape, Deputy Collector Pooja Bansal, vaccination officer Dr Arvind Gupta and others were present.
