Collector asks officials to ensure quality in construction works

Raipur, Jan 27: District Collector Dr S Bharatidashan on Wednesday presided over a review meeting at District Collectorate during which he directed the officials to ensure quality in construction works in the District. He also asked them to conduct regular visit in their respective region to inspect the construction works.
Presiding over the review meeting, he collected information about the works being carried out in Raipur Municipal Corporation, Birgaon Municipal Corporation, Rural Engineering Services Department, Public Works, School Education, Tribal Development and other civic bodies and janpad panchayats. Officials informed that 619 works at the expenditure of Rs 72.85 lakh have been sanctioned under District Mineral Fund.
It was further informed that 470 works have been completed whereas the work is in progress in 149 works. Collector also reviewed the progress being made against the works sanctioned under MP and MLA fund in the District. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr Gaurav Kumar Singh directed the officials to submit report on progress on weekly basis.
