Coaching will be given to the students of EARS: Dr. Tekam

For better results in competitive examinations

Raipur, Nov 06: Competitive examinations to the students of Eklavya Adarsh Residential Schools (EARS) at the state level Primitive Caste Welfare Residential and Ashram Educational Institution Committee meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan here under the chairmanship of the Minister of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Dr. Tekam said that special coaching will be provided for better results in competitive examination. He said that special coaching class should be started from class 10th. Along with this, consent was also given for the establishment of NCC in all high secondary schools. 29 new Eklavya Model Residential Schools have been approved in the education session 2020-21. The Government of India has approved the operation of Kanya Eklavya Model Residential School in five districts with low female literacy in the state. These include Chhatrangarh of Gharghoda block of Raigarh district, Parvatipur of Premnagar block of Surajpur district, Shivpur of Batauli block of Sarguja district, Narharpur block of development in Kanker district and Gadhini of development block Lohandiguda in Bastar district.
Apart from this, a proposal has been sent to the Government of India for the approval of three more girls Eklavya Adarsh Residential Schools Dantewada, Bijapur and Sukma. It has been agreed to start a new school as a pilot project in relation to teaching through English in the new Eklavya model residential schools starting in the new academic session 2021-22. Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam said that Eklavya Adarsh Residential School is an important scheme of the Tribal Development Department. Through this, the tribal boys and girls get educational facility. Work should be done keeping educational quality in mind. He said that it is an important obligation to recruit qualified and dedicated teachers to run the syllabus of CBSE. Secretary, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department D.D. Singh, Director Mrs Shammi Abadi, Secretary Board of Secondary Education Prof. V.P. Officers of the respective departments including K. Goyal were present.
