CM’s Bhent Mulaqat program held in Vaishali Nagar and Bhilai Nagar

Bhilai, Apr 08: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel conducted Bhent Mulaqat programme in assembly constituencies of Vaishali Nagar and Bhilai Nagar on Saturday. He paid obeisance at Shri Radha Krishna Temple in Nehru Nagar after inaugurating the newly-built Millets Café in Bhelwa Pond of Nehru Nagar. He unveiled the statue of Martyr Chumman Yadav at Tiranga Chowk, visited Shri Balaknath Temple in Khursipar and inaugurated Swami Atmanand School in Balaji Nagar. He gifted development projects worth crores to both the assembly constituencies which fall under Bhilai Municipal Corporation. He met various delegations at Bhilai Niwas and chaired a review meeting.
While interacting with the common people, Chief Minister said that Bhent-Mulaqat’s main objective is to find out whether the people are getting benefitted from the government schemes. District’s Guardian Minister Mohammad Akbar, Bhilai MLA Devendra Yadav, former Minister of State Badruddin Qureshi, DCC Bank President Rajendra Sahu, Bhilai Mayor Neeraj Pal, BMC Speaker Girwar Bunty Sahu, Antyawasayi Vikas Nigam Vice President Neeta Lodhi and District Congress Committee President Mukesh Chandrakar were present.
CM asked people about the ration cards and said that now ration cards are linked to the Aadhar card and no one is left behind. Rizvana, a player who participated in the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics, informed the Chief Minister that she plays Kabaddi, and all her team members have received Rs 2000 each. The Chief Minister congratulated her team and said that they have made a provision of Rs 25 crores for sports. About 26 lakh people have participated this year and from the next season, the prize money will be given instantly.
Binda Yadav, a member of the women Self-Help Group, said that she sold 1.5 quintals of cow dung and earned a profit of Rs 60000 – 65000, which she used to purchase cows. Currently, they go to sell cow dung by a regular rickshaw. Binda requested the Chief Minister for an e-rickshaw and a ration card. Upon hearing her request, the Chief Minister directed to issue a ration card to her.
Anusuiya Markam stated that she has benefited from the Juggi Jhopri Yojana. Previously, she lived in a mud house and now a lease has been granted. Ration cards and labour cards have also been issued. The labour department has also provided a sewing machine.
Pragya Singh, a student of class 12th in Swami Atmanand School, said that Smart classes with modern facilities, high-tech labs, library, and qualified teachers are available in Swami Atmanand Schools. Education is provided free of cost. Here, the children belonging to middle-class families can study without spending money, for which Pragya thanked the Chief Minister.
Yagini Dewangan, a student at Swami Atmanand School in Sector 6, spoke to the Chief Minister in English about her school. She thanked the Chief Minister for providing good schools with good facilities.
Ragini asked the Chief Minister about Swami Atmanand. Chief Minister gave detailed information about Swami Atmanand’s personality and works. Chief Minister added that they want children from low-income families to be able to study in English.

Development works worth Rs 45 crores for Vaishali Nagar
Chief Minister gifted various development works for the residents of Vaishali Nagar. He inaugurated and performed the bhumipoojan of developmental works worth Rs 45.39 crores. He inaugurated developmental works worth Rs 7.01 crores and conducted bhumipoojan of 12 developmental works worth Rs 38.38 crores.
The inaugurated works include road and drain construction in Ward 14 Shanti Nagar, Ward 15 Ambedkar Nagar, Ward 27 Shastri Nagar, Ward 10 Lakshmi Nagar and Ward 23 Ghasidas Nagar. He also inaugurated drain and road construction work in Ward 26 Ram Nagar and Ward 18 Prem Nagar. Tar road work in Ward 23 New Ghasidas Nagar and Ward 24 New Housing Board, new footpath construction work in Ward 27 Samta Chowk and Ward 24, CC road construction in Ward 5 Kosa Nagar and Wambay Awas, and CC road construction work in Ward 7 Radhika Nagar.
He inaugurated two sports grounds; badminton court with astro turf and LED lights in Ward 24 New Housing Board, upgradation work of a new sports complex in Ward 25, vending zone in Ward 25 Jawahar Nagar, and chain link fencing in the green belt between Ward 23 New Subhash Chowk to Amrit Mission Garden.
He performed bhumipoojan for re-carpeting of tar roads between Bypass road and Kosanagar culvert in Ward 4 and 5, tar road construction and upgradation work of roads near Indira Chowk – Dubey Pan Palace – Bhagat Chowk – Hanuman Mandir and Zone-2 Office, re-carpeting of tar roads in Ward 34 Shivshakti Colony, CC Road in Ward 18 Contractor Colony, etc. He also performed bhumipoojan of the development work of Bhelwa pond, beautification of Sarovar in Ward 26; drain and culvert construction in different localities; planetarium construction work in Nehru Nagar Park, Urban Cottage and Service Industries Park development work in Priyadarshani Pariwar, World-class central library and reading zone in Priyadarshani Parisar (East) and modernization of Supela Civil Hospital.

04 mobile medical units dedicated to public
During the Bhet Mulaqat programme in Vaishali Nagar, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel dedicated 04 Mobile Medical Units as part of the Mukhyamantri Shehri Slum Swasthya Yojana. People living in urban slums will be able to get health checks more easily from this facility. The Mobile Medical Unit now has 5 more lab tests. These include the Sickling Test, Widal Test, Blood Group Test, UPT Pregnancy Test, and Malaria Test, which will help to expand the medical services available to citizens.
With the addition of these mobile medical units, poor families in municipal corporation areas no longer have to visit hospitals for regular check-ups as they will have access to a medical unit near their home. Free treatment and check-ups has provided significant relief to common people. Shobha Devi, a local resident who came to the Bhent-Mulaqat program, informed the Chief Minister about the benefits she received from the medical mobile unit.
It needs to be mentioned here that in Chhattisgarh, underprivileged families living in urban slums receive free treatment from mobile medical units. A total of 13 mobile medical units in the Durg district provide free health services. In 8335 camps conducted within a year across the district, 6.88 lakh people have benefited.

Millets Cafe inaugurated in Guru Nanak Sarovar
CM inaugurated the Millets Café at Guru Nanak Sarovar in Nehru Nagar. Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar, MLA Devendra Yadav, Mayor Neeraj Pal, local public representatives and citizens were present.
During the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister stated that with the opening of Millets Cafe, nutritious dishes will now be available for the people. In addition to providing delicious dishes to the people, the dream of a healthy Chhattisgarh will also come true.

CM assures half electricity bill scheme for township residents
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday reached Bhilai as a part of his Bhent Mulaqat program. He garlanded the statue of the late Chandulal Chandrakar at Supela Ghadi Chowk. He also inaugurated and observed the symbolic structures of the ‘seven wonders of the world’ built by the Bhilai Municipal Corporation.
On this occasion, the schemes of the state government were displayed through the projector. Cabinet Minister Mohammad Akbar, MLA Devendra Yadav, Mayor Neeraj Pal and other public representatives were also present.
CM made several announcements for the development of the city in a programme held at Mohan Lal Jain Government College premises located at Khursipar in Bhilai Nagar assembly constituency. He said that a proposal will be brought in the next cabinet meeting to provide the benefit of the electricity bill half scheme to the residents of the township area and those whose houses are built on BSP land. Till now the people of these areas were not getting the benefit of the Half Electricity Bill Scheme.
He also announced plans to open a Garment factory to provide employment to one thousand women. For this project, an amount of Rs 7 crore is approved. A BPO call center will be started where 500 youths will get employment. Rs 5 crore is approved for BPO Call Centre. The children of Bhilai are also ahead in sports. An amount of Rs 1.5 crore has been approved for the cricket stadium and Rs 3 crore for the Sarva Samaj Mangalik Bhawan. Development works worth Rs 50 lakh will be done in each ward under Bhilai Nagar assembly constituency. Proper arrangement of lighting will be made; Beautification work of Civic Center will be done. A statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari will be installed in Bhilai Nagar. CM also announced for beautification work of Central Avenue Road and Forest Avenue Road; Dome shed construction work at different places; Tar Roads and re-carpeting work of the internal roads of Khursipar; proper lighting arrangements near the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium; Sports Academy will be constructed; Higher Secondary School located in Sector-09 under Bhilai Nagar Assembly Constituency will be operated as Swami Atmanand English Medium School; Government ITI located at Khursipar will be operated under Swami Atmanand ITI and new trades will be started here. Those houses which had tap connection till 2013-2019 and water could not be supplied, those consumers will be examined for waiver of water tax.
