Bhilai, Oct 16: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel visited his native place – village Kuruddeeh on the occasion of Naya Khayi and Dussehra festival and met the villagers. On the occasion of Dussehra, Chief Minister performs puja at his ancestral home.
He said that Dussehra is one of the happiest days for him as he visits the native places and meets the villagers and childhood friends. The villagers also said that they too eagerly wait for this day.
CM interacted with his village friends and recollected the childhood memories. He remembered how he used to roam the different streets of the village with his friends.
On meeting his friend Narayan, CM asked when he started using spectacles. During CM’s last visit, Narayan Nishad had expressed his wish to see a helicopter. While returning back to Raipur, CM fulfilled his friend’s wish and took him for a helicopter ride. He also interacted with an elderly woman and said that he is always with them in all sorrows and happiness. The women told the Chief Minister that he was working great and he is a ray of hope for them. He also interacted with children and elderly people. During his last visit, an elderly man had said that he had not seen the helicopter. Chief Minister said that this time he has come in a helicopter and there is great curiosity about it among the people.
CM also inquired about the implementation of Godhan Nyay Yojana. A villager told that he sells cow dung worth Rs 80 every day. CM said that in this way you are getting additional income.
He added that the government has also planned to provide relief to the landless farmers and urged all the eligible people to apply for the same. He urged the people to plant banana, mango, lemon trees in your house.
If there are fruit trees in the courtyard, it increases the beauty of the house and fruits are also available for the nutrition of the children. He further said that the state government has worked to provide a good price for agri produce.
CM also listened to the demands of the villagers and instructed the Collector to conduct the related construction works. Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Senior Superintendent of Police Badri Narayan Meena, District Panchayat CEO Sachchidanand Alok and other officers were also present.
