CM to perform bhoomipujan/ inaugurate projects worth Rs 285 crore

Bhilai, June 07: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is going to perform bhoomipujan and inaugurate development works worth Rs 285.87 crore in the district on June 08. These works include basic projects like education, health and drinking water. Works of infrastructure development and social development will certainly usher in a new era of civic amenities in Durg district. Bhoomipujan will be performed for 30 works worth Rs 261.09 crore. Along with this, 27 works worth Rs 24.78 crore will be dedicated to public.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister will also provide the benefits of beneficiary-oriented schemes of various departments to the people. The live telecast of the programme will be done on the facebook page “https://www.facebook.com/ChhattisgarhCMO/”.
The most important project is the widening and upgradation work of the road from Anda to Minimata Chowk with an expenditure of Rs 100 crore. This project will make traffic easier on this route. Jamul to Nandini-Ahiwara road will also be constructed (21 km) at a cost of Rs 78 crore.
Bhoomipujan of Nankatti-Daniya-Bori-Purda-Litiya road at a cost of Rs 12 crore and Bhoomipujan of road connecting Ekta Nagar Muktidham to Engineering Park at a cost of Rs 11 crore will also be performed. Pipeline network expansion work will be done under Jal Jeevan Mission in rural areas for supply of pure drinking water to households.
Under the infrastructure development works in Health Department and AYUSH; work of about Rs 2.16 crore is being done for staff quarters and infrastructure under Health Department. Three new dispensary buildings constructed at a cost of Rs 47 lakh will be inaugurated at Dundera, Bhilai 3 and Butrel.
50 – Seat post metric tribal girls’ hostel will be inaugurated in Durg. In Bhilai, bhoomipujan of Post Metric Scheduled Caste Boys Hostel, Girls Hostel and Backward Class Boys and Girls Hostel will be performed. Rs 9 crores will be spent on these projects. CM will dedicate high school buildings in Patharia and Raunda constructed at a cost of Rs.68 lakh.
Works worth Rs 5.60 crore will be done in Municipal Corporation of Bhilai Charoda. This includes the work of widening the road from GE Road to Shriram City Padum Nagar. Along with this, construction of mini stadium in World Bank Colony, construction of shelter in Hathkhoj Transport Nagar and community building at Umda are included.
Bhoomipujan will also be performed to launch the works worth Rs51 lakhs of the electricity company. 132/33 KV station will be established at Amleshwar with expenditure of Rs.36 lakh. Installation of additional transformer at Patan sub-station, work of feeder bay in Patan and installation of additional transformer at Pulgaon and 33/11 sub-station at Khamharia are other projects.
