CM requests PM to rectify the problem of vaccine supply shortage

Raipur, 16 May: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today had a detailed telephonic discussion with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel regarding the COVID situation in the state. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel informed Prime Minister that the guidelines issued by Central Government and State Government from time to time are being properly followed in Chhattisgarh. Number of tests per day per 10 lakh population has also been increased. Tracing process has been expedited. Positivity rate is declining continuously. Number of patients has also decreased. State Government is paying special attention towards rural areas. Additional teams are being appointed in the areas with higher number of COVID cases.
Chief Minister also informed Prime Minister that the entire data of bed availability in government and private COVID hospitals as well as Care Centers have been made available online, so that people may refer to it in the time of need. Chief Minister underlined the issue of vaccine supply shortage in the state, and requested Prime Minister to provide adequate quantity of the vaccine doses to Chhattisgarh. Baghel further said that Chhattisgarh has no shortage of Oxygen supply. He requested Prime Minister to allow Oxygen supply in 80:20 ratio i.e. 80% of the Oxygen supply to Hospitals and 20% to the industries, so that the industries may resume the production work. Prime Minister has assured Chief Minister that both his demands would be considered on a serious note.
