Bhilai, Sep 24: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is going to attend the Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti celebrations at Agrasen Bhavan in Sector 6 on September 26. He will unveil a life-size marble statue of Maharaja Agrasen and inaugurate the newly constructed dome shed. While addressing media persons here on Saturday, Agrasen Jankalyan Samiti President Bansi Agrawal informed that the statue of Maharaja Agrasen has been bought from Jaipur. He added that Agrasen Youth Club has taken the responsibility of Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti celebrations this year. Various events are being organised for the last one week under this programme. He added that the Agrasen Bhavan has completed its five decades of existence and now it will appear in a new look.
Youth Club President Madhur Agrawal informed that various games and competitions have been organised. The centre of attraction will be the Housie in which prizes worth Rs 2 lakh will be distributed. Many members of the samaj have come forward to sponsor the prizes. He added that the Youth Club has been recently constituted in which the couples of upto 45-years of age have been included.
Media I/c Ashish Agrawal informed that a grand procession will be taken out on September 25 around 10:00 hrs. About 70 cars, band parties, etc will be the part of this procession. Dilip Agrawal informed that the celebrations are being organised after a gap of two years. Hence, the celebrations are being organised on a grand scale. Anand Mela, sports competitions etc have been organised.
