CM announces to hike incentive amount for custom milling

Raipur, Dec 03: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reviewed the preparations for custom milling of paddy in the state in a joint meeting of officials of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Rice Millers Association and officials of the Food Department this evening.
He announced to increase the incentive amount to rice millers to Rs 120 per quintal for systematic custom milling under the system of procurement of paddy on support price in the Kharif marketing year 2021-22 in the state.
In the meeting held at his residence office, Mr. Baghel also discussed various problems of Rice Miller Association and gave directions for their redressal. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel told in the meeting that the price of old jute gunny bags of farmers has been increased from Rs. 18 per piece to Rs. 25.
Orders to this effect have been issued by the Food and Civil Supplies Department on Thursday. He told the rice millers that the work of collecting rice should be completed within the time limit by accelerating the lifting of paddy and milling work from the committees and the rice millers should also take special care on the supply of gunny bags.
On the announcement of increasing the incentive amount for custom milling by the Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Rice Millers Association welcomed it and expressed its gratitude. In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrat Sahoo, Secretary Food Mr. Topeshwar Verma, Managing Director of Markfed Mrs.
Kiran Kaushal along with President of Rice Miller Association Mr. Kailash Rungta, General Secretary Mr. Pramod Agarwal, Advisory Secretary Mr. Mohanlal Agarwal, Mr. Paras Chopra, Mr. Roshan Chandrakar, Mr. Rajendra Lunkad and Mr. Dilip Aggarwal were present. On behalf of the Association, Kailash Rungta, General Secretary Pramod Agarwal, State Spokesperson Parmanand Jain, Roshan Chandrakar, Rajendra Lunkad, Paras Chopra, Mohanlal Aggarwal, Murari Bhuta, Dilip Agarwal, Manoj Agarwal, Atul Agarwal, Manoj Mittal, Sandeep Agarwal, Vinay Agarwal, Banke Agarwal, Adil Gandhi Shiv Poojan Gupta were present.
