CII Chhattisgarh organises conference on Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code

Raipur, Jun 01: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Chhattisgarh organised a conference on Bankruptcy & Insolvency on Saturday, Dr Navrang Saini, a wholetime member of Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India in its inaugural address has given an insight of the IBC Board its formation, the Institutional framework under IBC 2016. This is a first-of-its-kind conference in Chhattisgarh, where all stakeholders including the CFOs, CS and CAs gathered and analyses the far-reaching impact of the code.
The conference had two dedicated technical sessions where in experts deliberated on IBC processes and its challenges, and the growing roles of ARCs in resolution. The speakers of the technical session were Subodh Agrawal, Past President, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, who explained on taking the IP Profession as a career. He told about the amendments which took place in IBC board. Mr Pankaj Dhanuka, Advisor, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP, has shared about an awareness on Banking regime and its effect to IPs, he focused on promoting entrepreneurship role of RPs.
Mr Shounak Mitra, Partner, Khaitan & Company, spoke about the criticism of code 29A, he also said that there should be an amendment for clear interpretation, IBBI ROC and RBI shall come with some mechanism to deal with the under valued. Mr Indranil Aich, Managing Partner, Aich Appraisers & Valuers, spoke about the role of valuers and the valuation of the organizations.
