Chief Secretary reviews preparations for 12th session of VS

Raipur, Dec 05: To give directions regarding the preparations before the 12th session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, to be held from December 13 to 17, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain held a meeting of senior departmental officers here recently.
Formation of departmental cell during session and appointment of nodal officer, pre-preparation of bills to be presented during session, reply to pending assurances, preparation of sheets to be laid on the table of assembly, adjournment motion, calling attention notice, petitions, zero hour Notices, speedy action on the reports of various committees of the Vidhan Sabha, preparation of possible topics for discussion during the session, preparation of discussion on topics of public importance, compliance reports and other points were discussed at the meeting.
The Chief Secretary instructed not to sanction leave except in unavoidable circumstances during the assembly session. Officers were instructed to distribute passes for entry to the gallery and other places as per the guidelines issued to avoid infection of COVID-19. Jain asked to make all necessary preparations within a week.
It was instructed to present the bills in the cabinet for approval before introducing them in assembly. Secretary, Department of Parliamentary Affairs, Avinash Champawat, Secretary, Department of General Administration, DD Singh, Secretary level officers of other departments attended the meeting.
