Chief Secretary goes shopping in C-Mart; pays thorough digital mode

Bhilai, Sep 17: Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain visited C-Mart in Bhilai for inspection on Saturday. He also did shopping and bought products worth Rs 1683. He gave some useful tips to the concerned officials.

 

The Chief Secretary while observing the products said that the most special feature of the products made by the women of Self Help Group is that they are completely hygienic and are prepared in a neat and clean manner. Hence, it would be better if the photos of the process of its making are also displayed. It should be displayed how the product is unique like Bastar’s honey. The specialty of Bastar honey is that this honey is absolutely organic and is produced by special species of bees. Due to this reason only this honey is very useful from a medicinal point of view also. If the uniqueness of the product is displayed, people will be more motivated to buy it. The Chief Secretary also bought honey from the C Mart.

Nowadays consumers do not wish to write in the visitor register and management is also not able to track the comments. It would be better if the feedback is taken through WhatsApp. In this system, the feedback will be received immediately and officials can respond at the earliest.

At the stall of Dona – Pattal (disposable cups and plates made of plant products), the Chief Secretary suggested to display how the plastic waste is increasing pollution and how consumers can help in protecting nature by purchasing Dona – Pattal. In this way, eco-friendly products can be promoted.

The Chief Secretary said that the festive season is round the corner. The products of Self Help Group have good demand especially on the occasion of Diwali. He instructed the officials to make special preparations for Diwali. Products made from cow dung can be prepared in a special way with the strategy of doing a good business on the occasion of Diwali.

Collector Pushpendra Kumar Meena informed him that hoardings are being installed for the promotion of C-Mart. Special arrangements are being made for its publicity in government offices as well. Arrangement of Air Conditioning will also be made here. The Chief Secretary said that the arrangement of vehicle parking and connectivity with the main road should be further improved. SP Dr Abhishek Pallava, Additional Collector Padmini Bhoi, DFO Shashikumar, District Panchayat CEO Ashwini Devangan and Bhilai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Lokesh Chandrakar and Additional Commissioner Ashok Dwivedi were also present.
