Raipur, 11 February 201: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended a programme organized by Chandranahu Kshatriya Samaj held in village Tarra of Paatan block of Durg district.
Chief Minister said that as a minister of the first Chhattisgarh Government, I had made the plan of recharging some drains in state. Groundwater table in the drains which were recharged in Paatan area has increased. Recharging drains is the best way to improve groundwater table. Now we will recharge the drains across the state. Unlike dams, recharging of drains does not bring farmers’ land under low-lying area. It maintains the moisture in soil, which is very beneficial for the crop.
